Since 1959, Pilkington Brothers, Ltd. from England has drastically improved float glass manufacturing, resulting in glass with exceptional clarity and no colour. By adding small quantities of metal oxides to the melted glass, a beautiful smoked appearance is achieved. Each Classic shade is delicately cut and polished by our expert craftsman, Gwyn, at our workshop in Derbyshire. As the mesmerising Edison-style light bulb shines, the filament appears to "float" in a captivating presentation.
